Candace Peera
Specialist, Event Planning

Candace joined the facilities team after graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010 with a degree in Communications and Public Relations. Her daily responsibilities are to manage room reservations, coordinate events & weddings, and act as a liaison between Fairhaven and outside groups who are using the facility.

Candace married her husband TJ in January of 2011. When not in the office coordinating events, she loves being outside, hiking, reading, spending time with family and just enjoying living life in community with others.

Why do you work at Fairhaven?
My dream job was always to be able to use the gifts and passions that God has blessed me with in the non-profit sector. God unexpectedly opened a door for me at Fairhaven. Working here allows me to be a part of an incredible community that loves God and others while doing what I love at the same time. I can’t think of a better way to spend my life then serving God’s people.

Your Faith:
I came to Christ at a young age but it wasn’t until my teenage years that I began to realize just how vital my faith would be. This tiny faith that started in my early years was nurtured by a Godly family who loved and supported me. Today as I continue on my journey of knowing Christ and sharing his story I know that nothing can separate me from the love of God. This powerful truth is transforming my life and I can’t wait to see what else God has in store.

Life Passage:
"We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. We love each other because he loved us first." 1 John 4:16-19
