Debbie worked as an administrative assistant in an insurance office until she joined the staff of Fairhaven in January of 2002. As Fairhaven's receptionist, Debbie was "the voice of Fairhaven Church" for several years. Now, she helps manages the needs of the Adult 55+, Facilities, Men and Pastoral Care ministries.
Debbie and her husband, Terry, have been married for over 25 glorious years and have raised two daughters who are now both married – Courtney to her husband, Caleb, and Sarah to her husband, Matthew. Born in Columbia, SC, and named after "Singin' in the Rain" actress, Debbie Reynolds, Debbie enjoys some of the simpler things in life including camping, basket-weaving, quilting, and hanging out with her hubby.
Why do you work at Fairhaven?
God called me to this ministry. I was not looking for a job when I was called for an interview.
Your Faith:
Became a Christian as a young adult but “it didn’t take” so I walked away (far away) from God for a few years and then He drew me back to Himself when I married my husband. I have been following Him and growing through His Word ever since (approximately 25 years).
Life Passage:
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13
