Spending nearly 20 years in the home remodeling industry before being called into full-time ministry as Fairhaven's facilities director, Doug's many years of project supervision have enabled him to effectively manage the daily facility and property needs. Doug is also a licensed minister through the Christian & Missionary Alliance and is enrolled in the Alliance Leadership Academy as part of his pursuit of a ministerial degree.
Doug's and his wife, Jane, who is also on the Fairhaven staff as the Next Generation ministry assistant, have 3 teenage children, Tyler, Natalie and Clayton. Doug enjoys reading, fishing, watching Ohio State football and coaching girls AAU basketball. As Disney World fanatics, Doug and his family enjoy spending summer vacations in the land of Mickey.
Why do you work at Fairhaven?
Being called to work here gives me the opportunity to use the skills the Lord has blessed me with in a challenging environment that is ever changing. It's a privilege to be part of this staff doing God's work in a growing and vibrant church.
Your Faith:
I am certainly not worthy to be a child of God but by Christ's atonement I'm now able to enter into an eternal relationship with Him. What an incredible blessing and honor it is to be able to give my life to a sovereign God that loves me unconditionally! My desire to serve, walk closer and develop a deeper understanding of Him grows daily.
Life Passage:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
