Before moving to the Dayton area, Lisa and her family lived in Indianapolis, where she worked part-time in the office at their church. She joined the Fairhaven staff in January 2006, and is currently the Receptionist Coordinator. Lisa graduated from Wright State University in 1990 with a Liberal Arts degree in Communications.
Lisa and her husband Tim have been married for 20 years and have three sons: Luke, Logan and Nick. Her favorite things include swimming, singing, reading, laughing, sunshine, flowers (especially tulips), Jane Austen stories, going to the beach every summer, and baking cookies. Lisa has lived in a number of cities, including New York, Chicago, Houston, Indianapolis and Dayton. She's visited every state except Alaska and Hawaii and has also traveled to Great Britain.
Why do you work at Fairhaven?
I love working at Fairhaven and am thankful for this staff, for their friendship, encouragement & support. I am so thankful that God brought me here.
After moving back to Dayton in 2005 and visiting a couple of churches, God led our family to Fairhaven. (My husband spent his early childhood years at Fairhaven.) I loved the worship and was so excited to think about being a part of that ministry. Tim & I have been involved in worship at different churches throughout our life together, but nothing as big as Fairhaven. I couldn’t wait to be a part of it. I joined the choir and started to make friends.
I heard about the job opening, applied and got the job … so thankful. I love being a part of the ministry at Fairhaven. I get the opportunity to support many ministries and serve in the worship ministry that God has called me to.
Your Faith:
Music has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been in choirs all my life and I came to Christ at the age of 16 while traveling one summer with my youth choir. God used Christian music to draw me to him. Still does.
Life Passage:
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
