Renda Alexander
Specialist, Pastoral Care

Renda has been attending and a member of Fairhaven since 1999.  After working as Office Manager for 29 years in a busy dental office in Centerville she retired. Renda joined the staff in January of 2012, serving as Pastoral Care Assistant to Pastor Jim Futrell. Renda’s experience and organizational skills as well as her servant’s heart and love for God have prepared her for the position in which God has placed her. 

Renda met her husband in church at the age of 10. She and Steve have been married for 43 years; have two adult married children and eight grandchildren. A few of her favorite things are: reading, Women’s Bible Studies and spending time with her family. Renda has been actively involved in Women’s Bible Study at Fairhaven since 2001 as a facilitator and member of the FWBS Steering Team as well as having served on the Diaconate for 6 years.

Why do you work at Fairhaven?
God opened a door for me to serve Him and I humbly accepted in obedience to His leading. I had offered my “retirement” years to Him, to use me in any way that would bring Him the glory. That opportunity came to serve Him through the Caring Ministry at Fairhaven.

Your Faith:
At the age of ten I asked Christ to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Even at such a young age, I realized my need for a Savior. We have been on an incredible journey together since that eventful day. I can honestly say that the more I know Him the more I want to serve Him.
