Zeke McManis
Pastor, Next Generation
Zeke graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Religious studies. He is passionate about reaching college age individuals for the Lord, and helping them to live out their faith in everyday life. His mantra is, “If one of my students is not glorifying God in a so-called ‘secular’ vocation more than I do as a pastor then I am not doing my job.” Zeke believes we are called to run to a great purpose. Zeke is running to unify campus ministries, churches, and college campuses under the banner of making a Kingdom impact in Dayton.
Zeke is married to his beautiful bride Mandy, in anticipation that God will soon bless them with children. Zeke enjoys running, lifting, video games, Karate, and trying new things. If you can’t find Zeke in a crowd try to find someone from a different culture, because chances are good that Zeke is trying to strike up a friendship there.
Why do you work at Fairhaven?
I work here because Fairhaven is a church that likes to get its hands dirty. You can see evidence of Fairhaven's impact all over the world, and I am grateful to God for allowing me to be a part of this.
Your Faith:
If you want to grow in your faith and walk closely with God then pray for two characteristics: humility and integrity. I used to think I knew a lot, but God has humbled me to see that pride prevents you from learning anything. I used to live a mediocre Christian life (saying one thing, yet not living that way) until God showed me that I was simply double-minded.
Life Verse:
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
