Adult 55+

Adults that are 55 and older integrate throughout Fairhaven's intergenerational congregation. We encourage you to individually engage your talents, passion, and spiritual gifts by plugging into the wide range of ministries that Fairhaven offers. Of course, we realize you also enjoy doing things together so we offer those opportunities as well.

Sonshiners
Reflecting God's Light to Nursing Care Centers

The Fairhaven Sonshiners are composed of different teams that plan and conduct worship services once a month in three area nursing homes. For more information, contact .

Sonshiners 101

In an effort to build deeper, more meaningful relationships, Sonshiners 101 are matched with individual residents in the various nursing homes to minister in a more personal manner—one on one. There is a basic training, and then volunteers visit their assigned resident once a month.

V-Team

Similar to Sonshiners 101, V-Team members are individually assigned to church shut-ins. V-team members are asked to visit their shut-in at least once a month and provide a brief report that keeps us informed to changing needs.

We are thrilled to enjoy an intergenerational ministry at Northmont. The Adults 55+ lead the way in pressing forward in life. Many have finished raising their children and are enjoying the role of grandparents. Some are retired and some still working. But all are important members in the Fairhaven community and vital to the life of our church.

Each month we plan different events to encourage, fellowship, and minister to others. So join us and let's make a difference at Fairhaven and in the Northmont community!
