Lounges A & B, Led by Pete SchwalmCurrent Study: Precedents to the 2nd Coming of Christ
We have all read and/or heard a variety of theories about the end of time (i.e. the second coming of Jesus Christ.) These 12 sessions will develop three precedents that set the stage for the final climax to history as we know it. Historical precedents offer us a clear window that provide clarification to the ultimate conclusion of justice for our world system and of eternal hope for God's people in the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ!

James – Putting the Gospel into Action
Schwalm Chapel, Led by Stephen JulianOne of the most commonly studied biblical books, James calls to put our faith into action. Three reasons the book attracts attention: 1) Written by the half-brother of Jesus, James is seen as providing a counterbalance to the writings of Paul, 2) The core issues James addresses never go away – they are as relevant today as they were in the first century, and 3) The book is short and easily digested. Unfortunately, just because it is easy to comprehend certain truths doesn't mean it is easy to live them out. Our challenge will be to understand James, to interpret it properly in the context of the whole Bible, and to challenge one another to embrace its calls to action. If you're looking for a safe study, then avoid this course. If you want to experience iron sharpening iron, then come prepared to question, interact, challenge and be challenged, so that, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and to the glory of God the Father, we may live out the transformative work of Jesus.
