Overwhelmed by the size of Fairhaven? Not sure where to connect and how to make new friends? Perhaps you’ve been a member of a small group at another church and are searching for something similar?
If you’re looking for a small group where you can be encouraged, equipped and supported in your spiritual journey, we invite you to consider joining a Community Group. Often referred to as “small groups" or “cell groups” at other churches, Community Groups at Fairhaven meet two to four times a month, generally in homes, for fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Usually consisting of 10-14 people, these groups are for adults of all ages, stages of life and spiritual maturity.
This 3-week experience is the best way to get connected into a Community Group at Fairhaven. Initially a one-night event, we’ve expanded it to three nights to provide ample time for the Small Group Preview, Small Group Experience and Small Group Formation/Launch. Meet others in a comfortable setting where there’s no pressure and plenty of time to decide if a Community Group is for you.
Week One: Small Group Preview
This is your opportunity to learn more about Community Groups, hear some inspiring testimonies from actual group members, and start connecting with others in your life stage. Light refreshments will be served.
Week Two: Small Group Experience
Watch a video vignette on a Parable from the Bible, and experience a mini-version of a typical small group study. Continue to meet others in your life stage as you start to consider possible group members.
Week Three: Small Group Formation and Launch
Now that you’ve had two weeks to meet others in a relaxed, fun setting, we’ll help you form and launch your new Community Group, typically based upon your life stage and availability.
Online registration will begin February 3. Free childcare is available for ages 0-5 with a 7-day advance reservation.
