We believe that learning about God should be anything but boring. That's why the elementary Children's Ministry is structured for today's kids - not little adults. We at Fairhaven are not building the "church of tomorrow." We are investing our time in the lives of kids to help them through their needs in today's world.
All ministry events are filled with games, lively songs, fun dramas, stories and videos - each centered in the Word of God. We welcome your children in our ministries.

June 12 – 5th grade trip to Kings Island
June 25-30 – KidMix Escape serving at the Trails of Oak Creek (grades 4-5)
July 27-29 – KidMix Escape (grades 4-5) Weekend
These times are designed for families that would like to experience worship together! Kids start with their families in the Worship Center and then are dismissed for an age-appropriate lesson. Kids have lots of fun as they are challenged with God's Word!
KidMix Wired is a worship experience designed just for kids! Kids, grades K-5, will be challenged as they learn about their Creator through drama, stories, multimedia, games and interactive activities. Each child will be placed in an age-appropriate life group where they can build friendships and learn how God's Word applies to their lives.
Zoom is where Kindergarten and first graders learn that their Creator made them, loves them, and has a plan for their lives. Every Wednesday night there are fun, interactive games, small and large group activities, and lessons about God.
Fl!pt is a high energy experience for 2nd and 3rd grades every Wednesday night. Come for crazy games, large group activities, and quarterly off-campus activities! Throughout the Fl!pt experience, kids will learn that God saves them and wants to work in their lives.
Escape is the place to be for 4th and 5th grades every Wednesday night. In this high energy environment, the kids will play interactive games, have monthly off-campus activities, and discuss topics specifically designed for preteens. The kids will learn to value who they are in God and how to make choices that reflect the character of Christ.
Hangar45 is where it all begins every Wednesday night from 6:00-6:55 PM for 4th and 5th graders. Bring money for snacks and pizza, play video games, or just hang out with friends!
E-Team, the “E” stands for evangelism! Through the E-Team, kids in the 4th and 5th grades are given the tools they need to become leaders who prayerfully seek God, share with others about God’s love, and learn how to use their talents to serve God. The E-Team includes clowns, skits, dance, anims (robotic puppets and black light), fish sticks, and kids in motion.
The first weekend you attend, you will fill out a form listing all pertinent information regarding your child (name, address, phone number, allergies, etc.). In addition, you will have the option of receiving a self check-in barcode card for the next time you attend. At that point, you can go to any kiosk located in the atrium and check-in your whole family. When checking in, you will receive a name tag to be placed on your child and a claim ticket that you will need to pick up your child at the end of the service. The child's name tag will show their first and last name, age/grade, and the Family ID# which matches the number on the Parent Claim Ticket.
You can check-in your child 15 minutes before each service or event begins.
For Saturday night and Sunday 8:00 AM services: Kids will sit together with their families during the worship portion of the service. At the conclusion of the worship time, kids will be dismissed to meet at the Submarine. Our staff will meet kids as they leave the auditorium to escort them to the appropriate place.
For Sunday 9:30 and 11:15 AM services: Immediately after your kids are checked in you may send them down the submarine slide or escort them down the stairs. At that point our staff will take them to their appropriate activity room.
For Wednesday Night events: Please escort your child to their appropriate place of learning. Our staff will be available to help kids and parents know where to go.
We ask that you pick up your child as soon as the service ends so that we can release our team members when all of the children have been picked up. Please go to your child's graded activity room located in the lower level. To uphold our safety value, we will not release a child to anyone other than the person who holds the parent claim ticket that matches the child's name tag. Your claim ticket and your child's name tag will be matched before you will be allowed to leave the area.
Please go by the Sea Lab Desk (located in the lower level). You will be asked to show your driver's license as identification and be given a replacement claim ticket.
For Weekend events: For instances involving your child, we will display your child's name at the bottom of the screens in the main auditorium. Please report to the Submarine (located in the atrium) to meet one of our staff. If you will not be in the main auditorium for the service, please let someone know where you'll be so that we can easily locate you.
For Wednesday Night events: Please leave a cell phone number that we can keep in our database in case of an emergency. In addition, if you plan to stay on campus, please let one of our check-in staff know where you will be located.
KidMix has a team of adult and teen members who have gone through a background check and reference check. They will be taking great care of your children!
To uphold our "safe" value, we have established a "two adult rule." There will be at least two adults present in or near the room with the kids at all times.

2011-12 Medical Hold/Harmless Form
In our elementary ages (kindergarten through fifth grade), trained team leaders facilitate learning in both large and small group environments so kids will leave knowing God's truth (Bible story and key verse), why that truth is important for living today (relevance) and how to apply the truth in their own life (application).
If you have any specific questions, please contact (937-434-8627 ext. 131) or (937-434-8627 ext. 148) in the church office.
