There is a reason young boys put on Spiderman outfits, and men love to engage in paint ball wars, wish they actually lived in a Clint Eastwood movie and love James Bond. Every man wants to grow up to be good - and dangerous! But for the average guy, church is where you go to learn how to be nice; and nice doesn't cut it. So churches across America are filled with mostly woman: 60% to be exact. Why is it that men are missing? Men need to know that faith calls them to do the "unthinkable," and it's every bit as exciting as Bond or Eastwood. Calling all men!

Pneuma blows through the pages of the Bible from cover to cover. Sometimes it is a gentle breeze, other times is a mighty rushing wind. Pneuma is the difference between living a natural life and the supernatural life. Pneuma - is the Spirit; the Holy Spirit. The essence of life... the essence of truth. Let's discover the one who resides within us... Pneuma.

Many of us might think that the word, "generosity" is just "smoke and mirrors" for church leaders wanting to talk about money. Yet, in the Bible, generosity is much more of a spiritual issue that may have financial implications. Generosity is really the work of love! Generous people allow their love for God to spill over into the lives of others. Let's discover how to live A Generous Life!

It is at the soul that we experience truth, beauty, goodness, community, family, friendship and the significance of human life. But our modern life seems to neglect this causing a strong streak of selfishness, narcissism and self-fulfillment which has become the quick fix for all our problems. Prayerlessness is the by-product of this modern life and yet prayer is the one area where we can't afford to do without. Prayer is about "Soul Care" or a deepening friendship with God.

Easter is the epic weekend of Christianity! It is when seekers are confronted with the life changing message of Jesus who died and lives. It is when followers are confronted with life in an area of their lives that are dead. After Easter, the question is... "Now What?" It is an individual question and a question for us as a church. This weekend we are going to look at our vision for the next three years... that is why we're calling it - Hindsight/Foresight!

Why build a bridge...they are very expensive and difficult to maintain? The reason is to span a chasm of some kind. People on one side want to get to the other side. People are searching for a way to find God, but we see our darkness, failures, thoughts, selfishness and all the rest. How can we get to the other side? Most religions would tell you to try hard, do good, work at it...try to build a bridge that would span the chasm. Easter tells the story that God saw the chasm and HE built a bridge over to the human side motivated by love! God sent His son Jesus to be "The Bridge." That is what Easter is all about!

We always like to celebrate the blessings that God has given us, but we often forget that genuine service for Christ involves some suffering in this life. Jesus was celebrated with palm branches when he triumphantly entered Jerusalem. However, he knew that there was major pain ahead. He paid the cost of ultimate celebration for us. How can we follow his example?

Here we stand on the threshold of another year, another decade. Ten years ago it was Y2K... today it is Y2K-X. The beginning of a new year was God's idea. He had something NEW for His people as Moses lead them out of Egypt. They didn't know what it was, but He gave clear instructions on how to face the unknown. Those instructions as still good for us today…in the New Year-Y2KX!

Life is made up of choices, lots and lots of choices. Jesus has a lot to say about the most important choices of life. How can we get our choices right as they relate to other people, physical things, and priorities? Our future depends on it!

Christmas is not just about the birth of Jesus, it's about the gift of an example. It's about the "Fabric of Deity." Because Jesus is our example, Christmas is a season for us to examine whether we are following His example in order for us to be a gift to the world around us! So, what is the "Fabric" of Jesus' example?

Each and every Christian is called to be a light to the world. The most powerful light we carry is the unfolding story of how our life is intersecting with the life of Jesus. What's your story?

We've all said it - "I'll be praying for you!" Then we walk away and think... How? Does God really care about a soccer game, stock market, the job interview, selling a house? Shouldn't I be praying for something better than that? How DO YOU pray for someone? Everyone knows it's important but not everyone knows how to do it. Paul gives us a great example! Let's Pray!

There at least three ingredients to spiritual growth. One of them is other Christians. God's plan for spiritual growth is for us to be "riveted" to each other. How? Why? Wouldn't life be so much better if we didn't have to deal with people? No!

It's been said that Jesus was either "the Son of God or a madman." There are lots of differing opinions about Him. What if Jesus was to have his day in court; what would he say about Himself? Seven amazing statements which call for a response!

Life has a way of crushing our faith! Quietly we say, "I want something more!" We are all looking for that one thing that will complete our joy. What is it? David found it. He wrote a song with the greatest lyrics that we know as Psalm 23... it's there that we find the one thing.
