Men

Be the man you were meant to be in every area of life! We welcome you to new friendships, opportunities to grow, and a chance to laugh with other men on the "Journey" of life. Our purpose is to see men be spiritually formed in Christ, through experiencing Fairhaven's five core purposes (Worship, Community, Equipping, Serving, and Outreach) in ways that are most effectively accomplished by being together as men.

RECURRING EVENTS

Men's Bible Studies and Discussions

Various books of the Bible, along with selections of Christian literature and DVD series, are the focus of weekly meetings that build man-to-man friendships and stronger commitment to Christ. For some series, there is a nominal cost for a book or workbook.

Reflections of the Psalms
Begins January 17, Tuesdays, 6:00 AM, The Lounges

Join facilitator Scott Foote as we learn together from C.S. Lewis' classic book about the difficulties he has met and the joys he has gained in reading the Psalms. Lewis points out that the Psalms are poems, intended to be sung, not doctrinal treatises. With his characteristic grace, he guides readers through both the form and the meaning of these beloved passages in the Bible. Books are $10, available in class.

Walking Faithfully with God
Begins January 3, Tuesdays, 7:00 PM, Room 105

The most rewarding thing a person could ever do is to walk faithfully with God, who desires hearts that fully belong to Him. This inductive study of 1 and 2 Kings, with 2 Chronicles, will show what it means to cling to and follow God, who is always faithful to His people. This 12-session class will utilize prepared handouts and requires no book or sign-ups. The facilitator is Trent Pinnick.

UnChristian
Begins January 12, Thursdays, 7:00 PM, Rooms 201-203

UnChristian, by David Kinnaman, focuses on research that shows a startling negative perception about Christians. This study will be a conversation providing practical insights on how we Christians can change our public reputation by examining our hearts and behavior. This 10-session class will be facilitated by Steve Alexander. The cost of the book is $10 and will be available for the first two weeks of class.

Men's Fellowship Breakfast

God created man in His image and He desires that all men rise up and become ultimate warriors and leaders for His kingdom. At Fairhaven Northmont, men are empowered by participating in regular gatherings where they can not only grow, but thrive in their relationships with God.

Our goal is to empower men to take on an entirely new way of life, a God fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into their conduct as God accurately reproduces His character in them.

Our purpose is to develop a pathway for men to passionately pursue God and grow in spiritual maturity. We also want to create a safe place for men to share their struggles, grow into wholeness, and embrace their God-given purpose. Additionally, Fairhaven Northmont wants to facilitate and encourage every man to grow in Christ through the spiritual windows of prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and servant leadership.
