Divorced, separated, or contemplating divorce? This seminar/support group will help you find hope and healing in the midst of your crisis. The next session begins Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and runs for thirteen weeks. Registration includes workbook; scholarships available.

To assist you in this process, we invite you to attend First Step, a bi-monthly informal orientation where you'll get an overview of Fairhaven and have your questions answered. Enjoy a light meal, meet some of our staff and Connection Hosts, and let us help you take your next steps. Childcare is provided for ages 0-5, with 7 days advance notice. Older children will have dinner with their parents and then take a tour of the facilities with a KidMix team member.

Saturday, March 3, 8:30 AM–1:30 PM

One hundred years ago in Dayton, people with wealth lived in the central city and those without lived on the edges of town. Today the pattern has reversed. Why? To get insight on this phenomenon, we will go on a guided van/bus tour with John Wilson, a history teacher who specializes in Cultural and Ethnic studies. John will give historical context to why the affluence has changed hands. The tour will consist of both urban and suburban communities in the Dayton area. We will also visit various organizations that serve inner city families. If you've ever wanted to be a part of serving in Dayton's inner city, this is a great way to get started. Plan to meet in the Atrium at 8:30 AM, and we will enjoy a delicious lunch at an inner city restaurant.

Saturday, February 11, 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, Meet in Schwalm Chapel

This simulation enables participants to analyze poverty from a variety of angles and to recognize and discuss the potential for change within their communities. It was designed to sensitize those who frequently deal with low-income families, as well as create a broader awareness of the realities of poverty among policy-makers, community leaders and others. At the conclusion of the simulation, participants will have the opportunity to dialogue about the implications of poverty.

To have your child dedicated during services on February 11/12, there will be an Informational Meeting on Wednesday, February 8 in Rooms 106/107 from 6:00-7:00 PM. A light dinner will be served. We look forward to meeting all of you and sharing your stories.

Parents – drop off your kids for games, movies, pizza and lots of fun! Then head out for some worry-free time away from the kids! Registration is limited to the first 30 kids.

February 10-12

Come for an "Epic" weekend at Camp Chautauqua. You'll have an awesome time hanging out with your friends as you play games, go crazy, and bowl at Camp Chautauqua's own bowling center. We have tons planned! Come hungry ... all your meals will be provided ... you just need to bring yourself (and a few supplies - see below). Be prepared ... God wants to challenge you to live an "Epic" life!

Fairhaven's Family Childcare Pass program allows unlimited usage of childcare services during the current ministry year for Fairhaven Church ministries for which childcare is provided. The cost for each pass is $30, and it covers all children ages birth through Kindergarten.

The 2012 Believe tour is going to take a full weekend to point kids to the awesome power of God's Word. "God's Word" are, in fact, the very WORDS OF GOD. These words should be said slowly and with great awe! Many questions remain in the hearts of our kids: how do we know this IS God's word; how did we get an English version & how do we KNOW it's a correct translation? Did the places and people recorded in the Bible ever really exist? Join us and the Believe team as we take your kids on an epic journey discovering the very places where Moses heard from God or where Jesus taught the five thousand. Ultimately, kids will be challenged to respond to the Word of God and begin hiding it in their hearts.
