One of the greatest challenges of The Church is to be “part” of a community not just “in” the community.  I always ask myself…What happened if Fairhaven Church were to close its doors?  Would the community know, care or be affected?  Maybe there is another question that we should ask…How can we be a “Good Samaritan” in the community?  If we help people on the side of the road when they have been beaten up, we can be a Samaritan!

Well, YOU (the church) have done it again!  When the chapel was full of people today…people who are on the side of the road…beaten up…jobless that is, we were there. 

We started a ministry with volunteers from the church family.  We are calling it – Job Seekers Support!  They came in looking for hope, encouragement, skills on resume writing.  They got it!  More than that, they got “The Church” being the Good Samaritan.

Do you see anyone on the “side of the road?”  Go for it.  I dare you.  The truth is, you will get more out of it then they will. 

Many worries plus good Samaritans equal… NO Worries.
