Known as the GEMs (God's Exceptional Miracles) program, the Special Needs Ministry of Fairhaven Church is dedicated to serving people with disabilities and their families. We believe that individuals with disabilities are cherished gifts from God, that they will teach us lessons that we may never learn without their presence, and that the Church has a responsibility to love, teach and minister to this special group of people.
It is a privilege and a direct call from God to reach out to those with special needs because this ministry represents the very heart of God, which is loving others. One of the major aspects of Christ's ministry on earth was His outreach to children and to people who had disabilities. That is why we are committed, not just to serving these individuals, but to empowering them to become vital members of the body of Christ.
