Servant Day
Saturday, June 28 from 8:30 am-2:30 pm
Student Ministries will return to the historic district of South Park in Dayton to participate in a variety of projects. This was a really rewarding experience when we did it in May. We met a lot of the people in the area and were able to be a huge blessing to them as well as be blessed by them. Lunch and bottled water will be provided. Bring work gloves if you have any and mark your calendars so you won't miss out on this event.

Students are responsible for purchasing their concert/park tickets, bringing money for food/fun, and sharing in the cost of a hotel room for the night. The room is $100 and can be shared by 4-6 students (of the same gender of course!).

Mission Trip to McKee, KY
Sunday, July 20-27
This year we will be going McKee, KY to assist the E-Team with a few mission projects, as well as doing some very rewarding projects of our own. There are no recreation centers like we have here. No place for the kids to go and play sports or hang out together. Kyle met with an organization down there that will be renovating an old building to be used as a recreation center. It needs lots of work, so we’re going to help with that. We’ll be painting, filling wall cracks, sanding, etc. Soccer and flag football are thought of as sports for the “privileged kids”. They can’t afford shoes to wear to school let alone athletic shoes. So, we are collecting cleats to take with us and will host a sports camp along with the E-Team. We’ll also do some work around the Inn that we’re staying at. Some other projects are still being organized but one thing is for sure…there is plenty of opportunity there!
The cost of the trip is $300. You can register online at Common Ground or use the registration brochure, which is available on the Student Ministries info wall downstairs or at the children’s info desk. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due at the time of registration with the balance due by July 20. Deadline for registration is July 6.
